CLOCKSS (Controlled LOCKSS) is a not-for-profit joint venture between the world’s leading academic publishers and research libraries whose mission is to build a sustainable, geographically distributed dark archive with which to ensure the long-term survival of Web-based scholarly publications for the benefit of the greater global research community.

DAITSS – Digital Preservation Repository Software
DAITSS is digital preservation software application developed by the Florida Center for Library Automation (FCLA) with some support from the IMLS. DAITSS is used by the Florida Digital Archive (FDA), a long-term preservation repository service provided by FCLA for the use of the libraries of the eleven publicly-funded universities in Florida.

DuraCloud, a DuraSpace (DSpace) service, makes it easy to store and do more in the cloud. Our service makes the preservation of your content simple and cost effective. DuraCloud is the only service that makes it easy to move copies of your content into the cloud and store them with several different providers, all with just one click. We eliminate the risk of storing content with a single cloud provider by making it easy to move and copy files of any shape or size. And once your content is in DuraCloud, you can do more with your data. You can stream it, view it, manage, and transform it. We are continually adding more services to make your content safer and easier to share.

MetaArchive Cooperative
The MetaArchive Cooperative was founded to encourage archives, libraries, museums and other such organizations to build their own preservation infrastructures and expertise rather than outsourcing this core service to external vendors.

ERA – Electronic Records Archive
The National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) is building ERA to fulfill its mission in the digital age: to safeguard and preserve the records of our government, ensure that the people can discover, use, and learn from this documentary heritage, and ensure continuing access to the essential documentation of the rights of American citizens and the actions of their government.  This cooperative preservation initiative is the result of government, non-profit, academic and corporate resources.
